Important Announcement:
Effective September 1, 2009, most University of California employees, will be required to take between one and two unpaid days off each month (furloughs) in order to offset the State of California budget crisis. For students, scholars, and campus departments, this may result in longer advising wait times, longer processing times, or reduction in programs. However, the International Center will strive to meet your needs, maintain a high-level of service, and continue the high-quality international programs for our community.
During the academic year, our offices will make every effort to ensure the following:
For Students:
Advisor Appointment Wait Times: 3-5 business days
Practical Training/Academic Training/Employment Authorization Processing Time: 10 business days
Travel Signatures Processing Time: 2 business days
Student Letter Requests Processing Time: 5 business days
For Scholars:
DS-2019 Request processing time: 15 business days
DS-2019 travel signature processing time: 1-2 business days
H-1B Request processing time: 45 business days
No walk-in advising – only by appointment
