1. First review the criteria for each of the Programs Abroad scholarships by clicking on the name of the scholarship below.
2. Identify the scholarships you are eligible for and prepare the relevant documentation before you complete the online application.

Letters of Recommendation (PDF Scholarship Letter of Recommendation Guidelines and Waiver Form)

To be competitive for the scholarships, we highly recommend that you have a professor write a letter of recommendation that addresses all of the questions Scholarship Letter of Recommendation Guidelines and Waiver Form (print from the link above). Letters from TA’s or instructors are acceptable, but your application may be less competitive.

• Personal references will NOT be accepted, under ANY circumstances.
• EAP STUDENTS: If your program required letters of recommendation, your EAP letter of recommendation can be used for the purpose of scholarship selection. Our office will take care of putting the letter in each application.

Scholarship Paper Submission Instructions

1. Print one complete set of the online application for each of the eligible scholarships you are applying.
2. For each scholarship packet check the appropriate checklist on the first page of the application printout and assemble the items in the appropriate checklist in the order shown.
3. Staple each itemized section of the list items and paperclip each individual scholarship application and deliver it to the Programs Abroad Office from Wednesday, March 11th through Wednesday, March 18th.

The PAO Scholarship Application is due Monday, October 26.
